Church in the Pines

A Little History (with more history coming)

Church in the Pines (CIP) grew out of the vision of men and women 150 years ago to establish an evangelical church in West Wareham. Today’s fellowship comes from many surrounding towns and we continue to build on that strong foundation.

We purchased 20 acres of land in south Middleboro in September of 2013 for a new church. This past summer we worshipped there weekly on Sunday mornings for three months. We are constantly improving the property as we work on plans to build there one day.

On Saturday, October 5, 2013 we celebrated the 150th Anniversary with a great banquet at White’s of Westport. One of the church leader’s from our sister church in Jacmel, Haiti even flew up here to be with us and bring greetings from the church. It was a great night!

Pastor Joel has been pastor at Church in the Pines since 1990. Alede Kearley has been Worship Director since 2003.

Our mission is to bring the Bible to life into the year 2017 and beyond. It is our desire to discover the Bible’s truths for our lives in an understandable and practical manner. We believe the Bible will ultimately lead us to a deeper personal relationship with Jesus Christ that will make a difference in all areas of our lives…and lead us into a life well-lived!
